Jagwire Sport Disc Brake Pads

In Jagwire Sport Semi-Metallic brake pads, the compound consists of a mix of organic components and metal. The compound is placed on a steel backing, which gives the brake pad sufficient stiffness and dosageability.
The advantage of the semi-metallic compound is that these brake pads have good controllability and make little noise. In addition, they can withstand high temperatures that can occur during longer descents, for example. These brake pads are also less prone to wear in muddy conditions.
The downside is that semi-metallic brake pads engage less quickly than organic brake pads and can also make more noise during braking.
In short, semi-metallic brake pads are all-round brake pads that can be used all year round. They give good braking power and good controllability, but engage later than organic brake pads.

Not compatible with all disc brake rotors.
These hard brake pads are not compatible with all disc brake rotors. These brake pads can only be used on ground disc brake rotors, as they consist of harder material. Pressed disc brake rotors are only compatible with soft, organic brake pads. This is because these disc brake rotors will wear faster due to harder brake pads.
